CVT Solenoid
CVT-limited solenoid only. This page does not describe general solenoids.
Design diagram only, not a product photograph.
A deliberately narrow page, again
As with the valve-body page, this solenoid page is CVT-limited on purpose. The CVT link this page rests on is: the company materials list solenoid kits among the key accessories, the catalogue structure lists a solenoid valve section, and the process documents describe bench testing of solenoids in step 6. The CVT site claims only the CVT-limited solenoid: the solenoid as it appears in a CVT hydraulic control story, including the pressure-control solenoid wording that buyers use for CVT units. General solenoids, shift solenoids and lock-up solenoids of other families are not described here.
In general terms, a solenoid is an electrically operated hydraulic valve, and a pressure-control solenoid regulates pressure in the circuit it serves. In a CVT that circuit includes the pulley cylinder, so a pressure question and a solenoid question may be raised in the same inquiry. This page does not turn that general relationship into a CVT solenoid specification, because no CVT solenoid specification is given in the table. A buyer who needs a pressure-control solenoid for a CVT should name the CVT limit in the inquiry and ask the supplier to confirm the row.
The process documents describe solenoid bench testing for flow, pressure stability, switching response and sealing, as part of step 6 of the ten-step process. That description is a process description, and it is summarised on the quality page. It is not a specification for a solenoid a buyer orders from this page.
